A message for 'Net Newbies
I trust that this issue finds you well and hope you're relaxed 'cos there's a bit of a rant coming... only fair to warn you. But I think you'll understand why this writer's a bit more than twitchy. ~( :- o)
Here I am, writing from my cave in NW England... mad as hell. "Why's that?" you ask. It's this damned internet. Or rather, some of the names who inhabit the place and whose clever copywriting traps we fall into. Know what I mean? You had some of that? 'course you have!
I sometimes wonder why I bother carrying on. Then... no sooner the question, or think the thought, another thought takes priority. And that thought is for all the new, innocent, hopeful people coming online every day. They need to be made aware.
Made aware? Of what?
A number of things. They need to be aware of themselves, what they want specifically - not just money - but specifically. And they need to be aware of their abilities as far as what's needed to know in order to make the money they've been told is sooooo very easy to come by.
Most of these people are ignorant regarding what it takes to sell products and the tricks employed by those who KNOW how to sell... with great effect I might add. How the innocent are manipulated from the day they arrive online, unless they're very careful or very clever.
They need to be aware of what to expect after they accept the FREE gift, download or whatever carrot was dangled in front of them.
The 1hr plus audio I listened to which was hyped to high heaven as being "secret revelations" and turned out to be the same old stuff. You know what it's like. You hang on... hoping the good stuff's gonna come and when it doesn't, you've lost an hour, given up your privacy and no wiser for it.
OK... I know... after 5yrs online I guess there's a fair chance that might happen - but newbies still need to be warned.
Warned about Free Reports, for which they have to give their eMail, with the promise of learning "secret techniques" which turns out to be nothing more than a sales letter with NO useful info.
The sales letter telling them what they're NOT going to be told (like all the other marketers tell them) and then getting told that very same thing by being told they are not going to be told about it.
About the guy who was recommended by another guy as being a genuine sort who gives real help and information and how the one doing the referring is affiliated to the one being referred to. The big boys do this all the time. You know that... but do the newbies know it?
It's OK... I'll answer for you. No, they don't know it. They follow the recommend and then the guy sends all sorts of promotions for other peoples' products and little of his own insights, which were expected.
He doesn't care about you, only the commissions from sales which will go towards replenishing him for all the countless $1,000s he spent in his own quest to make money.
There's a lot for the newbie to learn, some simple, some not. And until they learn what needs to be learned they will lose money hand over fist. Take ClickBank promotions as example.
Apart from the obvious risk of someone chopping off your link and robbing you of commission by replacing it with their own, if you don't know how to mask your link or make a redirect, there's the chance of you clicking on a ClickBank product without knowing it.
And so you lose a possible commission. Lost to someone with a bit more knowledge than you.
The person who made the sale didn't do anything wrong. They simply sold you on a product and masked their link so you didn't know it was for a ClickBank product. A product which you could have bought direct and saved money if you're a ClickBank affiliate.
Some merchants allow this, some don't. Some people think it's wrong to buy from your own link. Why? Chances are you stand a better chance of making sales if you experience the product. If it's any good you can make an honest recommendation and the merchant should make more sales.
Just as long as you don't rob another person by chopping their link and changing it to your own. 'cos, if you do that, rest assured my dubious friend, the Universe will pay you back!
What about all the hype, the games and the false promises? Aren't YOU sick of it? You know the thing - where clever salespeople drip-feed you tasty bits of information - then lead you to the next page, with you expecting to learn more. And what do you find?
Oh, you can have the information right enough..... but you have to complete a signup form to get it and add yet another name to their 4million database.
Yes... we all do it. We have to do it to build our list and develop relationships. But, for God's sake, let's ALL do it honestly - not lead folks on and then selling 'em short! Trickery does not equal integrity.
An Education program was recently launched with all the pizzazz and usual promise of massive spillover. Only a few weeks earlier the same well-known promoter was singing the same song in praise of the latest, greatest thing just released then.
Isn't it time we ALL woke up?
Let me tell you about "massive spillover". About 4yrs ago, one of the biggest names on the Internet was singing a story just like the above example. I fell for it, like countless thousands, because I would be in the downline of Mr Big. I did my bit and what did I get in "massive spillover"? Not a damn sausage. And, to beat it all - the program soon fizzled out due to legal issues.
Anyway, that's enough of that... time marches on. Sorry if it wound you up but I'm sure you see my point.
Relevance of the recent spate of Free Offers
I wonder if all's well in Toyland? Feels ominous to me... all these Free offers. There's no doubt about it, Mike Filsaime's " Butterfly Manuscript " makes good sense and is powerful stuff. I finally gave in and bought it on the latest price drop. And that's not all...
There were some bargains which were just too good to miss in the BIG giveaway. And, guess what... they're all based on the methods taught in
" Butterfly Manuscript " It's a very effective and powerful system if you can see
yourself marketing in that way. Don't get me wrong... it's a personality thing. Nothing wrong with the methods and I'll get back to that in a minute.
But the summertime spate of bargains and Free offers makes me wonder? Is there a panic going on in high places? Or are these top guns actually giving something back by reducing prices to lend us mere mortals a hand? You be the judge. Personally, I wonder if there's something we're not being told.
Last night I got a panic-type eMail from Ken McCarthy. It's OK... I'm just on his list, not in a privileged position. Anyway, KenMcC was telling how the company which controls certain domain names is proposing a substantial hike in tariffs which seems likely to get Govt. approval. He's talking BIG here and other controllers are sure to follow.
Not that even a huge rise should really bother too much those who tell us of their million $$$ sites, although they'll still kick against it. And I hope they do... for all our sakes. But what about the small-fry who've gone out and purchased domains for AdSense sites? OK if they're making the bucks but will they be able to carry a massive increase in multiple domain renewals? Doubt if some will be able to.
Where do YOU fit in this BIG Picture?
Good Question... I hope you know the answer. I know where I fit. And it's not likely to be as a multi-domain owner making $$$millions - 2 domains and a Blog will suit me fine. Who really needs $5m a year? I mean really needs it?
No... not thinking small here, or unworthy. If I make it, all well and good. It will be put to good use. But I personally don't need that much. And neither do you.
I've always wondered about the multi-domain thing, in my case anyway. If you're building a site, what's wrong with using sub-domains for different categories of pages? Most web hosts allow a good number so why not use them instead of lumping out more expense?
I guess it's for bragging rights, some sort of perceived prestige or an ego thing. OK while costs are low and as long as income covers costs with a goodly profit. But what if the sites bomb? Sounds to me that you'd be up a certain creek without a paddle. Perish the thought.
So... am I being negative? No... not at all. Realistic, yes - but negative, no way. Realistic seems to be in short supply in the cyberspace business world. And, with that said, let's look at reality.
Review - AdLandPro affiliate program
Everyone's been raving over AdSense for ages. There are countless eBooks and gurus promoting their strategies. Truth is, if you don't have a stream of steady traffic, your chances are pretty dismal for making anything like the same as the sellers and promoters of the AdSense products.
Not only that... with more and more software being sold under the claim that you can build a content-rich AdSense site in 10 minutes and have it on the web earning oodles of cash in 12 minutes... well, you work it out.
With sooo many people building quick-fix sites with what's likely to be the same content on a number of them, there's a real danger of Google telling you "Go forth and never darken our doors again".
There are alternatives to the all mighty Google and they offer other benefits than just collecting revenue generated by your visitors' ad clicks. There's one which you might have missed or never heard of... until now.

Earn money through Paid Key Words
Paid Keywords is an Adlandpro service which displays ads of participating members based on the value of the ad. They offer a list of 2550 keywords and you select one which applies to the page where you want to place the ads. You choose how many ads you wish to display, ranging from 1 to 20, and the system will generate html code with your affiliate ID embedded.
Copy the code and paste into your page to display Adlandpro paid keyword ads. Default is 5 ads and this selection displays in a vertical column, spaced at paragraph intervals.
Every time an ad displayed on your site is clicked on, you as an affiliate will earn commission based on the price of the click. You can pick more keywords to add to the mix if you wish or place different keywords blocks on separate pages.
Currently there are more than 46,400 affiliates and you can get paid for your link to AdlandPro and earn up to $1 per click by displaying results of AdlandPro Pay-Per Click Advertisers.

When someone purchases a service from AdlandPro through your special ID, you can earn 20%-25% commission on each purchase and get extra exposure for your ad. Drive traffic to AdlandPro and you'll be paid $5US per 1,000 credits plus $2US per 1,000 credits generated by affiliates you sponsor.
Visitors who click your link and join as members of Adlandpro become your referrals. You earn 20% commission on any services they purchase or subscribe to for as long as they remain subscribed.
Free members are allowed 3 ads per day to a max of 20 ads in the system under your account. This has recently been improved on, with unlimited number of ads per month. Adlandpro displays newer ads ahead of the older ads, sliding down the page and then from page to page until it drops off the end. You can renew, modify or change your ads and resubmit them.
Placing the ads in your free account (and anywhere else you can place them without spamming) is the start to becoming familiar with the processes of promotion at AdlandPro - and the beginning of exposure to reliable services which you can market and earn from.
Your Free Ad in Adlandpro will be seen on over 12,000 Sites and, as an affiliate, you get notified by eMail when someone visits your site. Now for some Reality
Hope you found that review useful and I'd like to tell you a story.
I joined AdLandPro as a Free member in summer 2002 but haven't used it until now. There are other programs like it which I shall review for you. Together they will make a complete package and the structure of that package will be available in due course. All are traffic related and can earn income, quite a useful income, if used correctly and consistently.
And that's where I've found my fit after looking at my interests and abilities, not to mention my emotions. Running multiple sites and squeezing the last drop of blood from my list is not sitting comfortably with me. If that's what it takes to earn a good income... count me out.
With all the resources available which people need in order to function online, there's plenty of scope for earning income by promoting those very same resources. No need to even bother to try and sell anything to anybody if you're not the sales type.
No... I'm not saying that you won't see me promote genuine, useful things from which I earn an income - but I'm not going to bust a gut pushing you to buy. AdSense might even appear and there could be info products offered by my own fair hand, but never any sneaky tactics. You don't want that and neither do I.
Let's face it... you're either a sales person or you're not. Period! Yes, sales techniques can be learned - but look inside yourself before putting yourself through the learning curve.
The only selling I want to do at this time is to sell myself and "The '5Ns' Newsletter". One leads to the other and can only be achieved through ethical means and building trust. I intend to earn that trust.
You might love my style and I hope you do. Well... tolerate it at least. Others won't like it or be able to take it. That's fair enough and expected. Those who don't like it will come, look and leave, but you, my friend are better than that. I can feel it in my water.
Yes... I get heated and rant, but we're emotional beings. Sales folk depend on that and exploit it. You have to be passionate about what you're doing or you might as well not bother.
And now, at last, a final word...
Product Reprise - The Newbie Club
The last issue promoted The Newbie Club and the link will take you to eMail for Newbies. The site is well worth a browse and EFN is well worth the small cost. There's loads of Free stuff and all written in non-tech language.
You need to know your way around your eMail client, for self-preservation as well as getting the best out of it. Highly Recommended
Words of Wisdom from George Zalucki
"It's ironic how the people who are the most afraid to lose, usually
have the least. And what they do have isn't much to lose anyway."
That's me done for another issue, m'dears. Hope you found today's information useful. Until the next time (hopefully next week, could be sooner) Take care and may your gods go with you. ~( :- ))
