Growth - Oak, or Acorn

The tree, the branch, the twig and leaf,
it all depends on your belief
what makes them grow with morbid speed,
emanating from a seed.

The cosmic force which makes them grow,
develops you as well, you know.
Man's arrogance demands that we
develop faster than a tree.

Nature nurtures from above
and feeds her seeds with light and love.
Most of mankind, in the dark,
trades love for lust to have a lark.

When light and love are given you,
like the tree your growth be true.
Tall and stong and true and straight,
when it comes it's worth the wait.

So do not try to rush your growth
by speaking falsehoods from your mouth.
Always speak the truth and such,
even if growth so far's not much.

The shrub which claims to be a tree
is bound to perish horribly
when storm and tempest test its boughs
and find it cannot keep its vows.

So never an oak pretend to be
when yet an acorn, in the seed.
Mother Nature won't be fooled
by those who try to twist the rules.

Folks will then respect and trust
the little tree which offers most
in help and nurturing they need
to help them grow to tree from seed.
