Love Tox.
From whence, my love, did you I find
If not in meeting of our minds.
I ask, review, rewind, retrace,
but still no answer falls in place.
Too oft we doubt and fail to see
that we are worthy to receive
rewards the Universe decreed.
Accept, embrace love and believe
Love's secret chamber, sweet, sublime,
would it be that she were mine.
Press the doors and enter in,
retire in joy - return again,
explore, rejoice and taste Love's wine.
Intoxicated mind doth race
orbiting through time and space.
The wonders of this mortal world
send flashes through the memory place.
New lambs frollick - springtime morn,
deer across the moorland run,
kite descending from on high
sees the frightened rabbit run.
And all of this in my mind's eye,
lost within my love's sweet charms
to see all Nature's wondrous things
so potent is my lover's wine.
Sights and tastes to have once more,
sweet, more lovely than before.
At last, before this life has run,
to love, to cherish, to adore.
