The Money Monster
I see your face upon the wall,
I gaze and wonder if, at all.
the two of us could ever be,
and then it strikes... reality.
The monster rears its ugly head
and so I wonder, in my bed,
if the vision that I long to see
bears a price too rich for me.
'tis true that love can conquer all,
but money counts, if I recall,
not in dollars, pounds and pence,
but here, at home, in common sense.
A family has financial needs,
as well as sowing loving seeds,
so the price gets paid to steady hands,
to ensure that the family stands.
A dream that entered in my sleep
is the memory I hope to keep
alive, until I have the means
to satisfy the family needs.
The monster that I say before
is the same that knocks on many a door.
It's the gremlin in your monthly bills,
responsible for many ills.
To venture to a place of need,
you must have all the money seeds.
This is but a fact of life,
and too few seeds will cause you strife.
So, before you make your loving plans,
take your future in both hands.
Look into your wage and purse
to avoid the sickly money curse.
